| New library impresses on opening day |
Willow Glen Branch Library opens doors

The new Willow Glen Branch Library opened its doors to the public Saturday, Aug. 23, and everyone seemed to think the new building was “awesome.”
Prior to its opening, a number of folks on the e-list did not appear too happy with the more modern architecture outside of the building, but that changed when they entered the new, larger and more comfortable space, with calling the new branch “terrific,” “awesome” and “fabulous.”

| Vivace Youth Chorus performs in Hawaii

Thirty-three young singers from Vivace Youth Chorus of San Jose took a nine-day cultural vacation this summer at the Pacific Rim Children’s Chorus Festival in Hawai’i.
The trip included Willow Glen residents Sarina Blitz and Sophia (last name withheld upon request) and Cambrian residents Gabe Manley, Thea Rodine and Emily Hilton-Nickel. They took trip to Oahu July 15 – 23, where there were 300 youth representing 12 children’s choirs from across the country.
