Willow Glen Foundation seeks volunteers
Now is your chance to get involved now with the growing Willow Glen Middle School and High School Foundation. The first meeting is Sept.7 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the library/media center.
The foundation consists of parents, faculty, community members, and alumni who are committed to achieving academic excellence at Willow Glen Middle and High Schools. The Foundation’s mission is to develop resources and fund programs that inspire, promote and support the academic achievement of all students.
The foundation board meets nine evenings during the year to plan fund-raising activities and choose programs to fund (career fair, robotics, recruitment, music program, scholarships, etc.). Committee members work to support these programs (e.g., invite professionals to the career fair, research grants for robotics). The foundation would love for you to join us!
Volunteers are needed in various areas. To learn more about how to support the foundation’s efforts and/or are interested in a volunteer position, contact foundation President Kim Guptill at kim.guptill@hp.com or Carol Myers at tom@golfmyers.com for more information or to share ideas. Participation is welcomed!
